5 Tips For Decorating In Fall
It’s true that autumn is the season when everyone starts to come indoors, pull on the slippers and get ready for the rain… a least here in Vancouver we do! We love the idea of adding some touches of fall into your home, but we want our decorations to transition into winter without too much fuss. Here are some ways to keep your fall decorating long-lasting into the chilly winter months.
1. We love sage green for fall!
It’s easy to be inspired by all of the autumn colours, especially with the gorgeous October we had this year. We like the more subtle hues that last longer and look good going into the winter. Consider using Eucalyptus or green pumpkins, colours that last well past Halloween.

2. Get creative with your pumpkins.
You don’t need to ditch the pumpkins after Halloween. Consider painting or decorating your pumpkin with white, gold or black to keep it current and beautiful well into November.

3. Keep it white.
White is classic and can definitely transition seamlessly into winter. Make sure to keep textiles cozy and textured. Your holiday decorations can be simple and still make sense for everyday, it shouldn’t stress you out or add chaos to your life. We use white to keep it calm.

5. Bring the outside in.
There is nothing easier than using what nature has to offer. Pinecones, sprigs from trees, and cut flowers are all readily available and beyond gorgeous. If you love fall colours but not in your pillows, then adding colour this way is easy and affordable and won’t overpower your space.
