We approached this English Bay townhouse transformation with a clear vision: to honor the West Coast’s natural beauty while introducing sophisticated European sensibilities. The original cookie-cutter layout presented us with an opportunity to create something truly distinctive—a home that would reflect our clients’ appreciation for both modern functionality and timeless elegance. Through careful space planning and material selection, we crafted an environment that feels both globally inspired and authentically rooted in Vancouver’s coastal character.

The heart of our design intervention centered on the kitchen, where we dissolved the barriers between living spaces to create a seamless flow throughout the main floor. We selected warm wood cabinetry and luxusrious quartzite to establish a palette that speaks to the West Coast’s natural materials while maintaining the clean lines of European modernism. One of the design goals was to create intimate moments within the open-concept framework, ensuring each area maintains its own distinct personality while contributing to the home’s cohesive narrative.

Our most dramatic transformation unfolded in the master suite, where we reimagined both function and form through the addition of a walk-in closet and a spa-like ensuite. The bathroom became our canvas for exploring contrasts—pairing sleek glass walls with classical stone niches, and natural marble mosaic flooring. The double vanity, and concealed storage behind mirrored doors, exemplifies our philosophy that true luxury lies in the seamless integration of beauty and practicality, creating a space that serves our clients’ daily rituals while inspiring moments of quiet reflection.
